TOWNER, Patricia Madeline (nee Grainger) - (June 7, 1940 - May 10, 2021)

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Madeline Towner (nee Grainger) announces her passing on May 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in her final days.

Patricia fought a short, but courageous battle with Cancer.

Patricia was born in Toronto, on June 7, 1940, and is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Edward Towner.  Patricia and her husband Ted made Newcastle their home back in 1968, and have remained in Durham.

Patricia was a born again Christian, and was a member at the Gospel Hall in Oshawa and Pine Ridge Bible Chapel in Courtice. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School to the children, working with other members of the church to prepare packages for the missionaries.  She loved honouring the Lord in all ways.

She was a kind, and selfless person, family was of utmost importance, she enjoyed gardening and had a love for cooking and baking.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter Kim Leary and husband Clark, her two granddaughters Danielle Gooch, Rebecca Gooch and her spouse Kyle Walker, and three great granddaughters Ryleigh, Annabella and Scarlett.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Warner and Phillip Grainger.  She will be fondly remembered by her Nieces, Nephews and many dear friends.

There will be a graveside service (due to restrictions) Patricia's final resting place will be at Union Cemetery in Cobourg.

Donations may be made to the Gideons International for free Bibles.
