BAYLISS, Mary June - Leaving a legacy of love, Mary Bayliss - 84, passed on Mother's Day, May 9, 2021 in Whitby, Ontario.
Mary was born on June 22, 1936 in St. Mary, Jamaica as one of nine children.
In 1958, she married Hildebrandt Bayliss, before enjoying nearly 63 years of marriage.
In 1959, Mary and Hilly welcomed their first child, Nicola.
Their son, Konrad, arrived four years later in1963.
Before moving to Canada, Mary worked in advertising sales at the Jamaica Gleaner.
She went on to work at Ontario Hydro until early retirement.
Known for her warm heart and gentle touch, she taught her family and friends what it meant to love and look out for one another.
Eloquent, elegant and with eyes full of life, Mary was a community matriarch who is survived by her husband Hildebrandt, two children (Nicola, Konrad), six grandchildren (Natalie, Kayla, Rachael, Ryan, Zachary, Brianna) and five great grandchildren (Maia, Liam, Kingston, Kiera, Jazmin).
Funeral services will be privately held.
