Campbell VelmaCAMPBELL, Velma Campbell   -  September 18, 1935 – May 24, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of my loving mother, Velma Campbell (nee O’Leary) on May 24th, 2021 surrounded by family at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga after a brief illness at the age of 85.

Beloved mother of Richard (Ricky) and his wife, Sherri.

Pre-deceased by her parents, Wilfred and Ida O’Leary of Tottenham, Ontario and her brothers and sisters Aubrey, Norman, Gregory, Catherine and Frances.

Velma will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Velma was the proud president of the residents counsel at the Mississauga long-term care facility.

She really enjoyed her time playing bingo and going to art classes with her friends.  The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of the 3A stroke ward at Trillium Health Centre, especially Ramona for the kind and compassionate care. We would also like to thank the staff of Mississauga Long term care facility for their care, support and attention while mother was in their care.

Visitation is being held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. W., on Friday May 28th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Please sign up via this link: https://signup.com/go/rNAYxDs for a spot to pay your respects.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will take place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
