PHILP, Joyce (nee Hopkins) - Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on May 27, 2021 at the age of 86 years.
Beloved wife of the late Ronald Philp.
Loving mother of Karen Robichaud (Vince), Wendy Philp (Al Clark), Marg Philp, Ronda Philp, Cheryl Zerebny (Bill) and Christena Philp.
Cherished grandma of Sarah, Joshua (Michelle), Katie (Rikus), Kimberley, Shane (Melissa), Randy (Le Anne), Jason, Adam, Samuel (Melissa), Zachary, Nigel (Courtney), Jahmar and Nathan.
Adored great-grandma to Kaleb, Makaya, Gina, Norah, Sophia, Ellie, Scarlett, Vinn, Padyn, Edgar, Parker, Reece, Hope, Ava, Lukas & Jack.
She was predeceased by her siblings Vera Planke, Larry Hopkins and Edith Davenport. Dear sister in law of Marilyn Phasey (the late Dave). Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Family was everything to Joyce, she devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and was unbelievably proud of them all.
Her love and constant presence in their lives will be truly missed.
A Family visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville on Tuesday June 1st followed by a public visitation from 7 – 8 pm. In keeping with COVID-19 regulations attendance will be limited. Those wishing to attend must RSVP for a timeslot by calling the funeral home between 9 am – 4 pm. A Private interment will be held at Sylvan Valley Cemetery on June 5th.
Memorial Donations may be made to Rose of Durham to honour Joyce’s love of family.
