Velma was blessed with 8 great grandchildren Oliver, Holden, Jackson, Chase, Lincoln, Marley, Christine, and Jamison.  Velma had a wonderful career as a secretary at Robin Hood Multifoods in Scarborough.

Our family always looked forward to the assortment of Bicks Pickles products that she would bring home at the end of the work week.Velma retired at age 60 but continued to work part time for a few years as a book keeper at a local business in our neighbourhood.

She also sang with the Perennials, a musical group that would entertain residents of LTC homes in the Durham region. She had such a beautiful voice.

She received excellent care, and the family commends the staff for their dedication and commitment in keeping the residents safe during COVID.

Special thanks to Velma’s primary caregivers including Autumn, Victoria, Hani, Marcia, Nicole, and Kim for providing the best care our family could hope for.

Private family arrangements.

Rest in peace Velma, your life was well lived.
