JAMES, Dr. Michael John - (November 1945 - May 2021) - It is with great sadness that the family of Dr. Michael John James share his passing on May 26, 2021 at the age of 75 years.
Michael, known to many as 'Kit,' was born on November 13th, 1945 in Birmingham, England to John and Norah (Whittington) James.
He held a BSc in Anatomy from Guys University Hospital, an MD from University College Hospital, and a Masters in Occupational and Environmental Health from University of London. He was a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society of London and was a lifelong Entomologist.
He came to Canada in 1979.
Physician, entomologist, and passionate environmentalist, Michael loved his family, cats, friends, and all creatures.
He was a compassionate family doctor who cared deeply for his many patients.
Michael is survived by his wife Lynn and daughter Liane.
We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Fairview Lodge LTC for the kind, compassionate care he has received over the last eighteen months.
Michael’s life and achievements will be celebrated later when restrictions allow.
Should you wish to make a memorial donation in lieu of flowers, Michael was a longtime supporter of the Canadian Organization for Tropical Education and Rainforest Conservation (COTERC) and the Animal Care Fund of the Metro Toronto Zoo.
