Schuyler MyraSCHUYLER, Myra Fern (nee Ireland)  - February 4, 1944July 13, 2021

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021, in her 78th year.

Reunited with her husband, the love of her life, Ray (1991).

Loving and devoted mother of Julie Almeida (Al) and Heather Johnston (Daniel).

Loving and cherished Grandma of Brendon, Marshel, and Great Grandma of Theodore.

Survived by her siblings Lorna Harding (Ken) and Bob Ireland.

Predeceased by siblings Art Ireland and Faye Wixson (Peter).

Dear daughter of the late Lorne and Fern Ireland.

She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and especially by her best friend Ivy who already misses playing with grandma.

Myra was the strongest woman her daughters knew and accomplished so many things throughout her life.

She was a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, and great grandmother. She worked hard and built a career as a Lab Technologist at MDS Labs.

Myra also worked for a short time as a lab technologist in BC, where she set-up a hematology lab, a first for her.

Myra’s strength and determination allowed her to overcome the loss of her husband and continue to care and provide for her family, leaving a legacy that will carry on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She was happiest when she was spending time with her family, chatting on the porch, gardening, and playing with her best friend Ivy.

Our mom will be sadly missed by all those that knew her, and she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, July 16th from 3 – 8 p.m.  To sign up for the visitation, please use the following link:  https://signup.com/go/zjVEddG
