MacLEAN, Robert Alexander - At age 79 years, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on July 31, 2021, after fighting the good fight of faith.

His battle with Covid-19 came to an end at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with his daughter Kimberly, and brother Gord by his side as he peacefully left this earth to live his best life ever!

Bob was passionate about his faith and his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him!

He was predeceased by his parents, Vera & Walter MacLean, his Sister Margaret and brother-in-law, Russell Healey, and his beloved wife, Mary MacLean (nee Vasko).

Bob leaves behind his dear brother, Gordon MacLean (June); his only daughter, Kimberly (Kevin), his treasured grandsons, Jonathan & David Monsen and cherished step-granddaughters, Erynn & Kassidy McCarthy. Of course, there are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and “adopted” children and grandchildren that he adored and will miss their “Papa / Grandpa Bob” greatly.

Bob was special to all who knew him, through the different churches he attended over his lifetime, General Motors South Main Office, prayer groups, family gatherings and social gatherings.

Whether it was his beautiful smile, encouraging words and regular emails or the Joy of the Lord that flowed through him freely to all who needed it.

He was always known for his love of giving and the gentle way in which he would guide and give advice. He was always “there” for all who needed him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 2:30pm at VIVA church (71 Simcoe St., S., Oshawa L1H 4G4). A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 4:00pm at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please make donations to VIVA church.
