Langille ShirleLANGILLE, Shirley Doreen   - After a short stay at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Doreen completed her stay on Earth on Thursday, August 19, 2021.

Her soul was set free to go begin a new journey.

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts we announce our painful passing of Doreen age 48.

Doreen fought a short courageous fight with Ovarian Cancer.

She was surrounded by her son Robert, sister Debbie, and brother-in-law Blair as she closed her beautiful blue eyes, and her soul was set free.

Doreen was born in Toronto, ON, to Glenda (Burton) and the late Milton Langille on October 26, 1972.

Left to mourn with hearts full of sadness are her mother, Glenda (Sugar Loaf, NS), her sons, Jonathan (Sugar Loaf), Gregory (Samantha, Pleasant Bay) and Robert (Lake Louise, AB).

Also surviving are brothers, Scott (Cathy, Glace Bay, NS), John (Stacey, Fredricton, NB), Robert (Alanna, Pictou, NS), Greg (Dawn and special nephew Tyler, Aspen, NS). She is also going to be sadly missed by her sisters, Debbie (Blair, Sugar Loaf, NS), DeeDee (Robert, Barrie) and Hellen (Toronto).

Also left to mourn Doreen are numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

She will be dearly missed by her Aunt Sherry and Violet, a longtime family friend. Doreen also had a very close-knit circle of friends, "My Oshawa Family" Laverne (Kimmie) and Kathy.

Doreen was predeceased by her father Milton, sisters Betty Ann and Darlene.  Doreen spent her younger years living in Toronto, until the family moved to Cape Breton. It was there that she made so many beautiful and cherished friendships. With a heart of gold, she managed to touch everyone she met along the way.

She spent her adult years living in Oshawa, but her heart never left Cape Breton.

She cherished every visit she made home.

Doreen will have a Celebration of Life that will be held at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Friday, August 27, 2021, by invitation only.  From there Doreen will make her last journey home to Cape Breton.

Donations in memory of Doreen can be made to Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre.

Online condolences can be shared at makfuneralhome.com

“This isn't the next visit we had planned Doreen,
but now you are at home where your heart always belonged.”
