Flintoff JamesFINTOFF, James “Brent”  - Retired 30 year employee of General Motors

On Thursday, September 2, 2021, my husband, Brent lost a long battle with complications from MS.

Brent was an active member of our family, even as his body became less responsive to his wishes.

He was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and great uncle.

He will be remembered for his sense of humour and fun, the nicknames he gave, the things he built and put into the world, the recipes his family still uses at holidays, and the genuine connection he made with the people around him wherever he went.

He never missed a Bruins' game or an episode of NCIS, and he was always ready for a conversation over a bag of Cheetos.

He will be missed at Hillsdale Terraces, at family movie nights, and at the head of our table at holidays, but his kindness, laughter, and the hope he never truly lost for a cure will be with us always.

Dearest loved husband of Shirley for 55 years.

Loving and supportive father of Stephen Flintoff (Deanna) and Larisa Barbour.  Poppa of Tasha, Jake, Deacon and Lily; Great-Poppa of Riley.

Brother of Dianne Fernandez (Aaron), Terry Flintoff, Glenda Baker (Josh Haunsberger).

Specials thanks to the personal support workers for their exceptional care.

Private arrangements entrusted to McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558).

Donations in memory of Brent can be made to MS Society of Canada.

Online condolences can be shared at makfuneralhome.com .
