WALLACE, Mary Winnifred - at Leacock Care Centre, Orillia on Saturday September 4, 2021 in her 101st year.

Beloved daughter of the late William and Mary Ann (Johnston) Wallace.

Predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Jack and James Wilkin, Lillie Mackness, William, Isabella, Clifton and Russell Wallace.

Survived by her nieces, nephews and their families and many close friends from Toronto, Jamaica and Beaverton. She was raised in Beaverton but spend the majority of her life in Toronto.

She owned and operated a very successful hair dressing Salon on Yonge Street …Winnifred’s Coiffure. She loved making women look and feel great about themselves.

She loved to travel and her favourite spot was Jamaica actually living there and working for a year at a Resort as a hair stylist. What an adventure for a young women in the early 40’s.

We are also fortunate to have had such a beautiful strong independent woman as our mentor and friend. Aunt Wynn also loved to party.

It would always be a learning experience when we were together as her knowledge of historical events whether it be family, politics or world events was astounding. We had so many fabulous fun times spent together that we will cherish forever.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton.

If so desired, performing an act of kindness towards someone in memory of Wynn would be greatly appreciated by the family.
