LOCK, Anne Marie Lock   -  Passed away at home on September 12th, 2021 at the age of 77 years after a brave five-year battle with cancer.

Loving wife of John for 57 wonderful years.

Dear mother of Amanda (Zak) Mroueh, Robert (Kerry) Lock and Mathew (Heather) Lock.

Loving grandmother of Noah, Liam, Rhys, Jacob, Ethan & Dylan and great grandma of Layla and Violet.

Dear sister of Myfanwy (Peter) Montgomery and aunt of Nathanael, Meghan, Joshua and the late Carys.  Anne Marie was the loving matriarch of her family.  Having immigrated to Canada from Wales with John & her young daughter in 1967, she worked hard to create a good life for her family.

At times she worked two jobs, while still caring for her family of three young children. Known for her famous Sunday dinner meals, as well as special dinners at Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving which always included extended family and friends. Whoever turned up was made welcome.

Once Anne Marie & John moved to Bowmanville, their home became the hub for endless pool parties with friends and family. In later years, spending time with her nieces, nephews and grandchildren became her passion, whether attending their sports games, musical performances or babysitting for grateful parents, her love for her family was always first and foremost.

Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville on Friday September 17th from 6 – 8 pm.  Those wishing to attend please call the funeral home to reserve a spot.  Due to Covid restrictions, a Private Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 18th at 2:30 pm.

Memorial Donations can be made to Durham Region Cancer Centre.
