OUELLET, Clément Ouellet   -  1931-2021

After a swift decline in his health Clem passed away before sunrise on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the age of 90.

He joins his late wife Paulette (deceased 2006) and son Raymond (deceased 2018).

He leaves behind his son Paul (Dan), his daughter Lise (Robin) and his two grandchildren and spouses who he adored Chantale (Joe) and Jonathan (Melissa).

Clem was the only sibling of 9 who learned to speak English and left the Lac St Jean area of Québec. He worked in logging before joining the Canadian Air Force.

As an onboard electrician he was part of a team flying dignitaries around the world.

As time goes on, we discover more about this humble man.

Just recently a letter was discovered in his belongings.

It was addressed to Clément from Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles thanking him for his participation in their Royal Visit to Canada in 1959!

After leaving the Air Force he worked as a service representative at a strapping company until his retirement.

Dad was a religious man and will be honoured with a memorial Mass at St Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Pickering, where he attended and volunteered for over 35 years.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. His cremated remains will be interred in Gatineau, Québec in the Spring of 2022.  Funeral arrangements with McEachnie Funeral Home in Ajax.

The Memorial Mass will be held at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church (1148 Finch Ave, Pickering, Ontario L1V 1J6) on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

Those in attendance will be required to wear a mask and must sign in upon arriving at church for contact tracing.
