Head LoisHEAD, Lois Isabele  -  September 28th, 1942 - October 28th, 2021

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at 5:30am, on Thursday October 28, 2021, with her husband Joseph at her side. 

Leaving Prince Edward Island at the age of eighteen with her new husband Fidel Des Roches she ultimately moved to Toronto. 

There taking on the work of housewife and mother, she was later employed in the accounting department of the Toronto Star for over ten years. 

Predeceased by her parents Adeline (nee Cahill) and Frederick DeCoste of Charlottetown, P.E.I. also a younger brother Frederick “Teddy” DeCoste of Edmonton, Alberta, as well as her oldest sister Pauline Spenceley of Charlottetown P.E.I. 

Lois leaves behind her husband Joseph Andrew Head with an amalgamated family of four daughters, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild expected in march of 2022.

Loving mother and grandmother of Andrea Traynor (Mike) and their children Ray (Jess) and Danielle, Tanya Lockstein (Chris) and their children Matthew (Sarah), and Quin, Dennise Grant (Allan) and their children Sydney & Colin, and Jenniffer Head and her children Rory, Angelica, Jadelynn, and Clarity. 

Dear sister of Gail Quinn (the late Bob) and Nan (David) Clarke and sister-in-law of Tony, May, and Lynn.

Aunt of Kathy Quinn, Laurie (Paul), Dianne, Chris, Ken, Marcell (Susan) and René and great-aunt of Samantha and Kimberly.

A memorial service will be held at the  ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME  124 King Street East, Oshawa, 905-433-4711, on Tuesday November 2nd at 11:30am.  Registration is required to attend

The family wishes to thank the medical staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on C-6 floor for their wonderful care.
