It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Durward Tompkins on December 11th, 2021 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

We have lost a beloved Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and friend.

Loving son of the late Vaughan and Esther Tompkins, he was predeceased by his siblings, Gerry Tompkins (Donna MacDonald), Sandra Hall and is remembered by his brother-in-law, Edward Hall.

He leaves behind his four daughters, Shelley Tompkins (Stephen), Heather Tompkins, Christine Attersley (Jim) and Terri Heffernan (Terry).

Cherished grandfather of seven, he will be missed by Ryler Tompkins, Lisa Tompkins, Keith Tompkins, Michelle Larocque, Jennifer Larocque and Cody Attersley.

He is now reunited with his beloved grandson, the late Chad Goulding, with whom he shared a birthday. He was blessed with three great grandchildren, Brooklyn Tompkins, Lyland Goulding and Peyton Calderone-Goulding.

He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews, Randy and David MacDonald, Jared Tompkins, Douglas Hall (Kevin), Christopher Hall, and his late niece Kristen Hall.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, December 18th from 1-5 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43, 471 Simcoe St. S. Oshawa.

In place of condolences, the family would appreciate it if visitors would share a favourite memory of Durward at this time.
