Titterton HaroldTITTERTON, Harold Allison -   Passed away on December 20, 2021 in his 82nd year.

He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years Joyce (nee VanDoleweerd) and parents Fred and Velma Titterton.

He is mourned by his daughters Janette Nicholson (Rae) and Michelle Watson (Robert) and grandchildren Cole, Dayna, Graysen and Kinsley who adored their “Opa”.

Brother to Ivan (Margo), Gary (Mary), Ronnie (Sylvia), Marion and the late Hillson as well as many nieces and nephews.

Harold worked for General Motors in Oshawa for more than 40 years before retiring.

In warm weather, Harold loved to golf within a league of close friends and acquaintances.

His other love was his sunset orange 1972 Pontiac LeMans which he would take to local car shows or just ‘around a few blocks’ for fun which he owned since new.

In colder months, he’d hit the local snowmobile trails on his Ski-Doo or just go for coffee at the local clubhouse to talk about sledding with the guys.

Harold enjoyed his daily long walks through the streets of Whitby where he and Joyce raised their family. His encounters with neighbours and sometimes complete strangers would always be part of his weekly update and he never missed an opportunity to help anybody by walking someone’s dog, raking leaves or trimming grass.

Visitation will be held at
W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL  , 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby, on January 6, 2022 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm with a short service at 7pm.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at a later date.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the devoted doctors, nurses and staff of the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Region Cancer Centre at Lakeridge Oshawa for their gracious care and support.

Donations to Hearth Place in Harold’s memory would be greatly appreciated.

Condolences may be expressed online at wctownfuneralchapel.com .
