NOEL, Jacques Joseph Urbain - Jacques, born on May 12, 1935, passed away peacefully in his sleep in his 86th year on December 13, 2021 at Hillsdale Terraces.
He will be fondly remembered by his wife Jocelyne, his sons Robert and Andre, his daughter Josee, grandchildren William, Joanna and Danielle and great-granddaughters Jillian and Rosa.
Jacques grew up in Montreal, joined the Canadian Air Force as a teenager after which he had a long, fulfilling career at IBM Canada until retirement.
He travelled in many parts of the world during his tenure at IBM and was very fond of sharing those memories.
Jacques was an adventurer: he and Jocelyne were self-taught sailing fans and took memorable solo sailing trips in the Bahamas, Caribbean and back home on Lakes Champlain and Ontario with his sons.
He and Jocelyne enjoyed farm life for many decades and in their true colours, bred thoroughbreds and raised them to race at Woodbine.
In his retirement, Jacques enjoyed camping in his airstream and other toys acquired during that time!
Cremation has already taken place and there will be a small family celebration of life at a later date.
