Greene LyndonGREENE, Lyndon Forest  –  February 12th, 1938 - January 10th, 2022

Absent from the body, present with the Lord.

Beloved husband of Patricia Mary Greene (nee Barron).

Dear father of Heather (Brad) Taylor and their family Meghan, Braden (Jen), Cathy (Paul) Powers and their family Sam and Katie, Andy and Maddie (Lyndon, Benjamin, Ellis), Sarah and Philip Cyr (Isaac and Daniel), Pamela (Scott) Jeffery and their family Eric and Nicole (Charlee, Henry, Oliver, Scotie), Lucas and Montana (Maverick, Emma), Alex and Mariana.

Dear brother of Ivan (Joyce), Eric (Bonnie).

Predeceased by siblings Henry (Nellie), Victor (Leona), Lina (Lawrence Roberts), Arthur (Ruth), Gifford (Shirley), Sherman (Miriam) and by his parents Gifford and Theta Greene.

Lyndon moved to Oshawa in 1956 and worked in Ideal Dairy and then General Motors for 33 years. He worked in heavy reject.

Lyndon built his own garage on his property on Trulls Road South Courtice and repaired and oil rust proofed vehicles for many years. He drove and maintained Calvary Baptist’s first Sunday School bus.

Lyndon was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oshawa, serving as usher for many years.

He later joined Faithway Baptist Church in Ajax where he and Patricia have been members for sixteen years. When Lyndon retired from General Motors, he and Pat traveled in their many RVs exploring all of Canada and the United States.

They wintered in Florida for many years until Lyndon’s health kept him home these past two years.
His favourite seat was behind the wheel with the open road ahead of him.

Lyndon has embarked on his final journey to his Eternal home. Lyndon will leave behind many loving memories.

Friends are welcome to join the family to Celebrate the Life of Lyndon Greene, Saturday January 15th, 2022 at 12:30pm, Faithway Baptist Church, 1964 Salem Road, Ajax, ON L1T 4V3.

A private family interment service will follow at Prince Albert Pine Grove Cemetery.
