EVERETT, Richard Kitchener Everett   -  1946 - 2022

On January 13th, 2022, after a 6 year struggle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, Richard took his last breath peacefully at home with wife Julie and children Noah, Devin and Shannon.

Born in Bracebridge to Robert and Edna (nee Kitchener) Everett, he came to Beaverton in 1976 to work at MacMar Farms.

He moved to Woodville in 1987 where he and Julie (married in 1970) raised their family.

A former Co-op employee, shepherd, sheep shearer and hardware clerk, he took great delight in bicycling, lacrosse and just chatting with life's fellow travelers.

He took wonderful care of Julie for over 51 years and spent many happy hours in the garden and woodlot.

Family and friends will miss his warm heart, sense of humour and special way with words.

Deeply loved by his family: Julie (nee Julienne Smiley), Noah and Lisa (Alloway), Devin, Shannon and Adam (Brandejs), grandchildren James and Graham Everett and Reed and Isla Brandejs, sister Heather Nesbitt, brother Jason.

Fondly remembered by in-laws Ross Smiley (Rhonda Christie), Art Nesbitt and sister-in-law Susan (Smiley) Montreuil as well as nephews and nieces.

A family celebration of his life will be held in spring.

If desired, a donation to your  CHARITY of choice would be appreciated.
