Witte Rev Dr HaroldWITTE, Reverend Dr. Harold Henry - (April 11, 1943 – January 8, 2022)

Born April 11, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, went to heaven on January 8th, 2022 in Bowmanville, Ontario.

He was predeceased by his parents Harold & Ellen and his sister Natalie.

Harold leaves his loving wife Marilyn, his daughter Elizabeth and husband Tim, son Jon-Paul and wife Janet, grandchildren Rebecca, Alexander, Nathan and Lucas.

His sister Linnea (husband Richard), his brother Luther (wife PuYee), as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

Harold was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Edmonton at the age of two when his father became a professor at Concordia College.

Harold attended school in the Highlands Concordia College, Edmonton. Concordia College, Fort Wayne Indiana and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri.

Harold’s life was spent caring for people. He was an active, energetic pastor in the Lutheran Church of Canada for over 52 years. He served in Bramalea, Ontario; Prince George, British Columbia; Stony Plain, Alberta; and Edmonton, Alberta. He was active with the Winnifred Steward Association, the Rotary Club, Lutheran Hospital Ministry, and the Rock (Lutheran Inner-city Association).

His love of travel inspired him to visit all seven continents.

His kind compassionate nature will be missed by all who knew him.

Harold had the ability to love and accept people just as they were. He lived a life of unconditional love to all and served Jesus wherever he was.
