Our Father in Heaven took our father from earth on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Grace Manor, at the age of 95.

His parents were Klaas & Meintje Woudsma.

Predeceased by his first wife Amy Woudsma (nee Vellenga) and his next wife Jessie Talsma-Woudsma.

Beloved father of Nelly-May (John) Westerman of Bowmanville, Carl Woudsma of Okotoks, Louis (Ingrid) Woudsma of Vancouver, and Eleanor (Les) Whitney of Vancouver.

Step-father of Marilyn, Andrew, Sonya, John, Ian, and Terry.

Cherished grandfather of Sarah (Chris), Matthew (Lisa), Rachel (Jakub), Eric, and Amy and great-grandfather of eight.

Survived by his brother Klaas (Akkie) of Woodstock, ON and his four sisters in the Netherlands.

Dad grew up in Friesland, in a small village with 11 siblings.

He survived WWII. He was in the military and served in Indonesia. He immigrated to Canada in 1953, and married our mother, Amy.

They raised four children in Oshawa.

He was co-owner of Jake & Bill’s Garage, then took a position for Volvo Canada for 25 years. Our mother passed away in 1988.

He married Jessie in 1992 and they lived their final years at Holland Christian Homes, Brampton. He spent countless hours volunteering for VON and was a cancer society driver.

Dad was a positive, eternal optimist, unconditional and non-judgemental.

Greatest thanks to all staff at Grace Manor 3N.
