Cassar GeorgeCASSAR, George Anthony Cassar   -  March 23rd, 1937 - March 1st, 2022

Today March the first our Cassar family lost our beloved, kind hearted family man.

Our father was born March 23rd 1937 to his parents Ninu Cassar and Gueseppa Cassar.

He was the 3rd of 8 children who resided in the small town of Hal Ormi in Malta Europe.

George Cassar junior immigrated to Canada April 22nd in 1957.

While living in Canada he worked several jobs and met our dear mother Mary Rose Cassar.

They married on October 11th 1958. He and mum had three sons, Anton Cassar, Anthony Cassar and George David Cassar.

While raising his family, he worked continued working hard and he worked in General Motors of Canada for 23 years before he retired in 1999.

George Cassar senior was a father-in-law to Rosanne Cassar, and grandfather to 6 beautiful children, Christine Cassar, Autumn Cassar, Kandra Cassar, Kayla Cassar, David Cassar and Michael Cassar. He was great grandfather to Ardaya and Brooklyn.

Our father/grandfather/great grandfather was a very friendly, kind hearted, hard working family man who was very respected by a lot of people. He was deeply loved and respected by so many people. His honesty and charisma was special also.

I am so very lucky and honored to be his daughter-in-law. He always treated me with the utmost of respect and always was ready to help us out when in need. He put all of us first before he thought of himself. Good traits like these are very rare to find nowadays.

Today was a very long, sad day for all of us as we had to say our goodbyes to this awesome man.
Dad, I say this from the bottom of my heart that today me and everyone lost one of the greatest men.

God wanted you to relieve you from your long sufferings and also wanted you to be with him, Jesus and the Holy Mary. He also wanted to reunite you with your parents, brother and three sisters in that big beautiful Heaven. May you rest in peace now dad and I know that you will watch over all of us.

We love you so very much and we know that nobody could ever walk in your shoes. Pray for all of us dad as we will do the same for you.

You will be forever missed but never forgotten. Love you always and forever xoxoxoxo

Visitation will be held at  ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Tuesday March 8th from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. A Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Wednesday March 9th at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
