Chorney RobertCHORNEY, Robert “Bob”  -  With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Chorney Sr. on April 28, 2022, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

He was in the arms of his loving wife and surrounded by family.

He was the beloved husband of Dolores for over 58 years, a loving father to Robert (Bob) Jr. (Dana) and late Donna Chorney, and the cherished grandfather of Jessica and Benjamin.

Robert will be missed by his brother Terry (Kathy), his sister Alice Marczuck and was predeceased by his late sister Lillian Bielke.

Bob will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends for his ability to listen and mentor in any situation.

His close family is so grateful to have had the last five years to benefit from his wisdom and thoughtful advice.

Later in life, Bob was fortunate to discover an incredible artistic talent that incorporated his knowledge of colours, creation, and printing. His artistic spirit will live through the cherished paintings that he created.

The Chorney family wishes to extend their appreciation to the expert staff of Lakeridge Health Oshawa for the professionalism shown to Robert and his family, with special recognition going to Dr. Rothenstein and Dr. Banihashemi, who so compassionately cared for Robert over the last five years.

Friends may call at THORNTON CEMETERY and  FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, on Friday, May 6, from 6-9 pm (South of Taunton Road and off Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787).

Donations will be gratefully accepted to support Ukrainians Refugees in Durham Region by donating to St. John’s the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church @ http://supportukrainians.ca/durham/.

Expressions of condolence may be shared at  etouch.ca .

“You were always on my mind.”
