Sutton RobertSUTTON, Robert Burton Sutton   - Robert has passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on May 9th, 2022 with his beloved wife Joan (nee Fice) and family by his side.

Bob was the beloved husband and best friend of Joan for 62 years on April 30, 2022.

Loving father of Dawn Leah Sutton-Arnett and Wayne Davidson, Robert James Sutton and wife Lisa Marie Sutton.

Dear grandfather of Brendan Robert Arnett, Colin James Arnett, Curtis James Sutton and Owen Edward Sutton. Loving great grandfather of Benjamin Kacey Arnett.

Dearest brother-in-law to June Violet Haynes and Dorothy Marie Declute and Gerry Declute and sister-in-law Susanne Sutton and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his baby daughter Pamela Joan Sutton in 1962, his mother Doris Cathaline Sutton, father James Robert Grover Sutton, his brother William Sutton and brother-in-law Dave Haynes and Milton Fice Jr.

Bob was a Journeyman Electrical Maintenance Electrician for 40 years with General Motors of Canada of Oshawa's North and South plants.

Together Bob and Joan enjoyed many years of travel to Alaska, Europe, The Baltic and England as well as their many years traveling to Florida, and the USA. Montana, USA being one of his favourites.

Bob's love of fishing and hunting took him and his many buddies to the far north, east and west to catch the big ones. There was never any limit to how often and how many times they would fish.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Lakeridge Health Cancer Clinic.

Dr. Ilana Kopolovic, Nurse Jayne Huynh, family doctors Dr. Gordon Gaschler, Dr. Edwin Brankston and all the volunteers for helping in Bob's care during his journey with AML.

A gathering of family, friends and acquaintances will be held in the reception room at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 2-5 p.m.

Cremation has taken place and a family burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Lakeridge Health Cancer Centre, Oshawa, Heart and Stroke Foundation Durham or a  CHARITY  of your choice would be appreciated.
