SMYTHE, Carol Ann   -  October 11, 1946 - Friday, July 1, 2022

It is with heavy hearts, but loving memories, that we announce the passing of a kind, loving and respected lady on Friday, July 1, 2022 in Beaverton, Ontario.

Carol’s beloved husband Ken passed away in 2012.

They had shared a wonderful life together for 46 years.

Shortly after they were married, they moved to Stouffville where twin boys, Kent & Kirk, were born in 1970.

Kirk passed away in 2020.

When Ken retired from IBM, they moved to Beaverton to enjoy country life. Kent (Allison) lived not far from Carol and supported her in every way after his father’s death.

He was Carol’s strength. Carol deeply loved her grandchildren Heather, Ryan, Alexa and Avery, her sister Sharon (Don), Bobby (Mary Anne) passed away in 2020, and brother-in-law Jack (Deanna).

Carol also leaves behind nieces Kerry-Lynn and Kelly-Jean and nephews Michael, Rik and Steven.

Carol was the much loved daughter of George & Edith Greig and daughter-in-law of Iola & Norm Smythe.

Her life was filled with family love. She leaves many friends who will be reminiscing about their lives with Carol.

“Softly the leaves of memory fall. Gently we gather and treasure them all”.

Gone too soon but will not be forgotten.

A private family service will be held.

If so desired, memorial donations in Carol's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
