Czekaj WandaCZEKAJ, Wanda  -  September 4, 1941 – July 14, 2022

September 4, 1941 – July 14, 2022

It is with the utmost sadness and broken hearts that the children and grand children of Wanda Czekaj announce her sudden and unexpected passing on Thursday July 14, 2022 at LHO in her 81st year.

Predeceased by her beloved Husband, Idzi (d. 1984).  Loving Mother of Diane Flintoff (nee: Czekaj) and John Czekaj.

Cherished Babcia of Julia and Larissa Flintoff. Wanda loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and we spent every special occasion together. Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, every Sunday, and we spoke with and saw each other daily as much as possible.

Last month, Wanda was so happy to attend both her grand daughters’ college and high school graduations and celebrate with us all afterwards.

Words to express how dearly she will be missed by her daughter, son and grand daughters have not yet been created.

Julia and Larissa were her gwiazdki, the stars of her life.  They loved their Babcia with all their hearts and had a very special bond. We will all miss you more then words can say, our dearest Mama / Babcia xoxoxoxo.

A special thank you to the paramedics, emergency staff, Dr. Blair Bigham and nurse Jenn at LHO for their expert emergency services and emotional support to Wanda’s children. Wanda will also be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her extended family and close friends in Canada and in Poland, as well as her beloved sister Władzia and brother Czesław in Polandand close friends in Canada and in Poland, as well as her beloved sister Władzia and brother Czesław in Poland.
