HICKS, Gerald   -With great sadness, we announce the sudden, yet peaceful passing of Gerald Hicks, 83, in the early morning of Tuesday August 2nd at Oshawa General Hospital in his sleep.

Survived by his sisters Carolyn Wallace & Sheila (Ray) Simpson, & nieces & nephews.

Born in Sackville NB Gerald in his early days worked in the bush, then started driving trucks.

From there owned his own trucking logistics company & then decided to take up truck repairs running Gerry’s Truck Service originally in Whitby then moving to Port Perry for almost 45 years.

His true love was stock car racing & would spend as much time as he could working on them & at the track with friends.

Those who knew Gerry thought of him as someone who would not hold back, most found this somewhat of an endearing trait about him.

He would go out of his way to help someone in need & always had an open heart. He will be greatly missed by all.
