SANDILANDS, Andrew "Andy" Christopher   - December 25th, 1958 - August 12th, 2022

We are heartbroken to announce that Andy passed away in his 64th year on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Ross Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side, after a short but extremely brave battle with cancer.

Andy is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Marilyn (née White); and his two children whom he adored, Ross and Claire (Bradley).

Andy is also survived by his brothers, Paul (Martha) and Mark (Allison).

He'll be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his brother-in-law, James White; nieces, Joanna (Ryan), Jessie (Erick), Jennifer (Dan), Stephanie (Mark); and nephews, James, Christopher (Jasmine) and Darryl (Nicole); his extended family and many friends.

Andy grew up in Scarborough, where he met the love of his life, Marilyn, in the marching band when he was 16.

They were together ever since and married shortly after graduating University.

As newlyweds, Andy and Marilyn moved to the Beaches where they travelled and then raised their family.

He was a devoted father who was always there for his children, from the PTA to early morning drives to school.

Andy studied Radio and Television Arts, leading to his long career in Radio Broadcast Sales, where he was a friend and mentor to many.

A kind man and born conversationalist, Andy was a voracious reader and could strike up a conversation with anyone on anything. Hours passed like minutes when you talked to Andy, and you always left a little wiser, with a smile on your face.

A proud father, Andy was grateful to have been able to walk his daughter, Claire, down the aisle and dance at her wedding to Bradley in June.

He left us far too soon.

Funeral arrangements with Mount Lawn Funeral Home in Whitby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations could be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or Epilepsy Canada.
