Posteraro VincenzoPOSTERARO, Vincenzo “Vince” Posteraro  -  

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 21st at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in his 82nd year.

 

Beloved husband of Maria for 59 years.


Loved father of Guy (Carolyn), Gino (Heather) and the late Franca. Survived by his son in law Joe Gatti.

 

Adored Grandfather/ Nonno of Jacob, Olivia, Jesse, Owen, Jake, Kateryna, Mateo, Mikayla, Chance and Vienna.

 

Great Grandfather/Nonno of Ashlynn.

 

Survived by his sisters Pierina (Guido) and Ermelinda in Italy.

 

Lovingly remembered by his family Joe Canonico (Carmela), Carmela Visconti (the late Vincenzo), the late Tony Canonico (Ida).

 

Predeceased by brother in law Mario and his wife Ottorina, and sister in law Filomena and her husband Pasquale.

Vince was a proud employee of Oshawa Bonded Paving for 19 years and Ontario Hydro, Darlington for 14 years.

 

His passing is very sad for everyone in the Italian Community. Vince was a true advocate for Italian culture for everyone that came from the Lago-Cosenza area.

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday December 29th from 2pm to 4pm & 6pm to 8pm at  ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Mass on Friday December 30th, 1pm at St. Therese Catholic Church, Courtice. Resurrection Mausoleum to follow.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the R.S. McLaughlin Regional Cancer Centre/ Lakeridge Health Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
