Beauvais JeanBEAUVAIS, Jean Beauvais   -  May 17, 1941 - January 23, 2023

Peacefully passed away at home, with her family by her side, on Monday, January 23, 2023 in her 82nd year. She fought a lengthy, yet courageous battle with congestive heart failure.

Loving mother of Tracy Fekete (Rob), Lorry Dion (Todd), and Lisa Corkery (Joe).

Beloved Nanny of Salvatore Calleri (Marlena), Jean Calleri (Michael Knapp), Paul Vandepol, Jeffery Vandepol, Stephanie Corkery, and Christina Corkery (Ethan Holdsworth).

Cherished Great-Nanny of Alexzandria, Sebastiano, Angelina, Kayden, and Jacob. Predeceased by her parents Anthony Defosse and Mary Virgilio (John), and by her brothers Joseph (Yvonne), Ralph (Joan), and Vincent (Ferne).

Jean will be sadly missed by her many dear friends. A special thank you goes out to her friends Ron & Sandra Isenberg.

Jean was a caring and dedicated nurse, who continually advocated for her patients. She loved being a nurse, and seeing her passion for the profession inspired her family to follow in her footsteps. Jean was the 2nd of 5 generations of nurses now in her family.

Jean was an extremely strong woman, she single-handedly raised her 3 girls, and had a large role in helping to raise all of her grandchildren. She devoted her time to her family, and would give whatever she had to help those around her to succeed. A mother and Nanny like no other, her family will miss her dearly.

Her love for her family, friends, animals and nature will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Online condolences may be shared at armstrongfh.ca .
