WILSON, Joseph Greenough Wilson   -  April 20 1935 – January 27 2023

It is with many tears that the family of Joe Wilson announces his passing on January 27, 2023.

Husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, he was the rock of our family and one sweet man.

Joe is survived by his wife Virginia (nee Cameron) his children Jeff (Barb) Wilson and Joy Bridle; grandchildren Veronica Wilson and Brooklyn Bridle. He is survived by his siblings Madeline Gowans and Norris Wilson. He was predeceased by brothers Cecil and Lawrence Wilson and sister Helen Mahar.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Joe found his way to Beaverton where he met Virginia (Ginny), the love of his life. While courting, he would often travel for many hours to give her a ride home from work.

For many years he drove transport trucks for the construction industry throughout Ontario and eventually settled in Cambridge as a fitter/welder.

The family would like to thank the Grand Canal Retirement Residence for their compassion and care.

Visitation will be held at Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton on Tuesday, January 31st from 1-2 pm followed by interment at Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
