METCALFE, Elizabeth Marie (Betty) (nee Sarnovsky) Metcalfe - February 2nd, 1951 - January 29th, 2023
After fighting valiantly, having many issues with her health, Betty passed away at the age of 71.
She was surrounded by family and friends. With great sadness, there will be no more texts, calls, or visits with Betty, however as in life, so too in death will she make us smile and laugh as we remember her.
We take comfort knowing she is reunited with her late husband Ronald Metcalfe, mother Anne Sarnovsky, and Aunt Jeanne among other loved ones in Heaven. Betty leaves behind a son, Brent, and grandchildren, Zack, and Leesha. She loved them dearly and as they did with her.
She also leaves behind a brother, David, sister-in-law, Joyce, and nieces: Eva, Reina, and Liara. Her love for them and theirs for her is immeasurable and will never die. She will be missed by her uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws, and many friends especially the Burns family (Mary, Michelle, Lisa, and Karen-Anne) and the Hall’s family (Florence).
Those who make you smile in this world, and are genuine, honest, unselfish, giving, altruistic, and kind-hearted, are rare. Now, even more so. Until we meet again.
In God’s hands now, rest peacefully.

A celebration of life reception will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Graveside service to follow at 1:15 p.m. at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY.
