OLVER, David John Olver  -

September 22, 1947 to March 21, 2023

We are sad to announce the passing of David John Olver, Tuesday, March 21st, 2023, at the age of 75 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa after a long struggle with COPD, with his family at his bedside.

David leaves behind a lasting legacy. He will lovingly be remembered by his wife Diane, daughters Amanda (Mark), Tammy (Darrell), Melissa (Michael), his sons Daniel, Chris (Emmie), his grandchildren Colin, Dean, Kaliah, Declan, Lucienne, his sister Arlene (Phil), his nephews and Brother-In-Law Roger.

Predeceased by his brother Jimmy (Dorrie)and his parents Burwell and Marion Olver.

Dave grew up in Rexdale and moved to Oshawa where he was hired by General Motors.

He retired in 2007 after 30 years of service. The one special thing about Dave was that you could always give him a call.

He loved to talk on the phone. Dave was a kind, generous soul, making friends everywhere he went. His laugh was infectious and his smile inviting. He was always a helping hand to all in his path.

He was truly an inspiration to all.

As per Dave's wishes there will be no service.

There will be a gathering to celebrate Dave’s life at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to The Canadian Lung Association
