ORLANDI, Mario - Born on June 16, 1935 in Italy, passed away suddenly doing what he loved most on his cherished land in Pickering on November 22, 2017.
Loving husband of Eva for 56 years.
Beloved father of Laura, Dario and Lisa (Steve).
Cherished Nonno and mentor of Stefanie, Ashley, Domenico Mario, Kiana and Sophie.
Dear brother of Loreto (Antonietta), Christina (Michael), Alfredo and the late Pietro (Antonietta) and brother in law of Mario (Ingrid) Pugliese.
Mario will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and cherished friends. Mario helped to pave the roads in this province he called home and built many great relationships along the way, which he continued to cherish in his retirement years. He had a heart of gold, was a devoted family man and a community friend and supporter.
Visitation will be held at the DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Monday, November 27th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:30pm-9:00pm. Prayers will be held at 7:15pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, 130 Watford Street, Whitby on Tuesday, November 28th at 10:30am. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. In memory of Mario, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
