PURCELL, Mary Frances (nee Feeney)   - With saddened hearts and loving memories the family announces that Mary Purcell died peacefully at the break of dawn on Saturday December 9, with her two daughters by her side.

Predeceased by her husband Ted (in 1982) and by her parents and three brothers.

Much loved mother to Kate Sutton and her husband Dave and Mary Bertram and her husband Bob (deceased). Amazing Granny to grandchildren Orla Cassidy-Boland and her husband Steve, Eoin Cassidy and his wife Julie, Leah Sutton, Kyle Sutton, Andrew Bertram, Rebecca Smith and Kevin Bertram. GGMa to Alyssa Bertram, Daraugh, Aislin and Seamus Boland and Mary, Maeve and Kellan Cassidy.

Auntie Maura/Maureeen will be affectionately remembered by nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada, Ireland and England. Mary (Maureen/Maura) was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1921 to parents Bernard and Catherine Feeney. Mary and Ted were married in 1946 (after he was released from a German prisoner of war camp).

When both daughters emigrated to Canada in the early 1970’s, they decided to join them to be close to their children and grandchildren. Mam was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing and being the centre of her growing family.

She provided a warm environment, welcoming everyone into her home without question. She will be missed.
Funeral mass will be held on Friday December 15, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 1148 Finch Avenue, Pickering, L1V 1J6, reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Covenant House, 20 Gerrard Street East, Toronto, Ontario M5B 2P3, (covenanthousetoronto.ca) would be appreciated.
