Shaw HowardSHAW, Howard Wilson  - It is with deepest sorrow we mourn the loss of our beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and brother-in-law.

On Sunday, April 8th, 2018, Howard passed into the arms of our Lord, in his 91st year.

Eldest son of the late Ethel and Wesley Shaw.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Audrey Shaw (nee McGinnis).

Cherished father of Catherine (Stephen) and John. Beloved Grandpa to Jackson (Erin), Brittany (David), Danielle and Michael. Proud “My” Great Grandpa and Papa Howard to Hayden, Lennon, Cole and Clarke.

Predeceased by his brother Stuart and survived by his sister Irma Brown (Orland) of Peterborough.

Loved Uncle of 17 nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered brother-in-law of Victoria and Melville Booth, Verna Patterson, Lorna Bowler, Ila Holmes, Lloyd and Carolyn McGinnis, Evelyn and Gerald Kane, and Judy and Michael Ferrey.

Howard worked at PPG Glass for 40 years. He was an active member in the union and held many positions on sports and social. He was an advocate for the workers and supported them in their journeys to recovery. He was a valued employee and even sought after by CAMH to do a work furlough.

Howard and Audrey enjoyed their many holidays to Florida, Nashville and Branson.

Howard attended Community Baptist Church and always looked forward to the time spent with Pastor Horton, Lori, their 3 lovely daughters and his church family. He will be forever remembered for his great sense of humour; heart felt words and devotion to his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Sunday, April 15th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. and on Monday, April 16th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m.

Because of his love for family and time spent with friends in Lindsay he will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Lindsay.
