PINEDA, Antonio Alejandrino Pineda - Peacefully commended his spirit to the Lord on May 18th, 2018 in Ontario, Canada.
Tony, as he is fondly called, is loved by Carning, his wife of 58 years and his children -- Raymond (Emily), Mary Ann (Freddie) , Joseph (Georgina) , Fr. Michael SJ, Maricar and John (Leah).
His cherished values of kindness, patience, humility and perseverance live on through his 9 grandchildren -- Dennis, Angeli, Sophia, Michelle, Danielle, Christopher, Miguel, Nico and Ethan.
Born on August 30, 1930 in Arayat, Pampanga, Philippines, Tony was the fourth child of Luis and Macaria.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Pacing, Carmen, Manolo, Aurelio, Benjamin and he leaves behind his sisters Rosie and Litz.
To quote a teaching colleague, Mr. Onofre Pagsanghan, "The most lasting memory of Tony many of us will have of him for 37 years of dedicated service is Tony kneeling in the Chapel during the early morning masses. Tony with his God. Tony with the Lord he has truly loved and the God, whom Tony says, has so arranged his life that everything, not only the ups, but most especially the downs, have come out for the best."
And it truly did. On the last night before he passed away, he was lovingly surrounded by his family. By the break of dawn, with his son John holding his hand, his love continued to flow. It is a love no death could end -- a love so powerful it blessed and transformed all those he met.
Antonio "Tony" Pineda has never left us. He will continue to live in our hearts forever.
The visitation will be on May 24th, 2018 from 5 pm to 9 pm at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church at 1001 Ravenscroft Road, Ajax on May 25th, 2018 at 11 am. Interment will follow.
