DUCKWORTH, Ronald Dean  - In loving memory of Ron Duckworth, born August 19, 1926 in Orillia, Ontario.

Ron passed away peacefully in Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on June 8, 2018.

Although raised in East York, he took every opportunity to escape to where his heart was- the country.  Ron married Ruth Barton and raised his family in Uxbridge.

Ron loved travelling, his garden, golfing, curling and he enjoyed fishing and playing cards with his family at the cottage on Lake Kennisis.  A gifted singer, he sang in the Quaker Hill Quartet and in the Trinity Church men’s choir.  Ron loved his family deeply and was very proud of them all.

Beloved husband of Ruth (Barton 1926-2009); loving father of Karen (Paul) and Keith (Dawne); loving grandfather of Craig (Janice), Beth (Mark), Jason (Rebecca); and great-grandfather of Nathan, Kirsten, Bruce, and Elizabeth.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 12p.m. until the time of service at 2p.m. at the Trinity United Church, 20 First Ave., Uxbridge. Immediately following the service, Ronald will be laid to rest at the Foster Memorial Cemetery. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Trinity United Church Hall.

In memory of Ron, please consider a donation to Trinity United Church.
