PAYNE, John Francis Payne - 70, of Pickering, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 24, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.
John was born August 18, 1947 in Warlingham, Surrey, England to Herbert and Sheila (Hayden) Payne.
John is survived by his wife Jean (Steptoe) of 44 years, daughters Alexa, Rochelle and Danielle (Jerome) and son Adam; sister in law, Margaret Payne; grandfather to Sara, Hailey, Adam Jr and Eva; nieces, nephews; beloved cat, Leia; other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:30pm, Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Port Whitby Marina, 301 Watson St W, Whitby, Ontario, L1N 1A2.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s memory to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Prostate Cancer Canada or Durham Region Hospice. .
