Edwards MargaretEDWARDS, Margaret “Peggy” Ann (nee Heaslip)  - Passed away peacefully on July 21, 2018 at the age of 85.

Married 66 years to the love of her life, Russell.

Peggy was 'Mom' to five children.

After losing their firstborn Ronnie at the age of three, Marg and Russ leaned on their faith and each other to continue to lead a life of unconditional love, kindness and humour that impacted everyone who knew her.

Her skill with a paintbrush, together with an appreciation of nature and beautiful scenery, has left us with cherished paintings that will always give us joy. We have many memories of the pleasure she got from simple things like sitting out in backyard, getting a coffee at Tim Horton's and spending time with her beloved family.

Russ, and children Bob (Laura), Jim (Wendy), Cathy (Mark) and Sue (Terry), mourn their loss, together with the grandchildren she loved so much; Ashley, Melissa, Brandon, Karisa, Cassidy, Colin, Lindsay and Bradley.

Forever remembered by ‘sisters’ Eleanor, Lorraine, Verna and Alice, brother-in-law Jack (Joan), friend Ruth B. and many nephews and nieces. Pre-deceased by siblings Ross (Mame), Ken (Jean), Bruce, Ruth (Frank) and June (Jim).

Our hearts ache, but we are comforted to know that her worries are over and she is now in the arms of the loved ones who have gone before her.

A visitation will take place at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas St E, Whitby (905-668-3410) on Tuesday July 24, 2018 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Holy Family Catholic Church (91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby) on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 10:30am.

The family sends our deepest thanks and appreciation to the wonderful nurses on 7C at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, as well as Dr. Cadesky and Dr. Graham. Their kindness and compassion helped us through this very difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory would be appreciated to Community Care Durham - Whitby Adult Day Program, the Hospital for Sick Children or the Lakeridge Health Foundation.
