Murphy MaryMURPHY, Mary Victoria - Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at home on October 2, 2019 at the age of 80.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Mary Elizabeth (Martin) and George, siblings Kathleen (Hugh Fardy), Bunnie, Alice (Dave Johnson), Cede, Helen (Joe Lineberger), Bill (Andrea), Ann, and brother-in-law Ray Murphy. A much loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend to many.

Leaving to mourn, with heavy hearts, husband Ken, son Kenneth (Jen Hanlon), daughter Mitzi (Carlos Augusto), and the lights of her life, her three grandchildren, Nicole Murphy, Avery and Faith Augusto, who all loved their Gammy dearly.

GRANT, Hugh Stewart Lindsay - (March 4, 1936 – October 2, 2019) - Passed away peacefully in Oakville after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to Margaret (nee Kennedy) and Rolph Grant. Hugh will be remembered as someone who loved his family and loved a good scotch. He will be sorely missed.

Hugh is survived by his children Victoria (Ted) and Stewart (Ewa), grandchildren Christopher, Adam, Alexander (Sylvia), Madeline, James and brothers Rolly and David.

Hotchkies AlexHOTCHKIES, Alexander MacKay - Born May 12, 1941 in Larbert, Scotland, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2019, with his best friend, soulmate, partner, and beloved wife of 57 years, Patricia (nee Spence), by his side.

Alex is survived by his children Karen (Peter) and Andrew (Michelle).

Radakovic JelkaRADAKOVIC, Jelka - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jelka Radakovic at the Oakville Trafalgar General Hospital on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 after a severe stroke. Jelka was 82.

Born and raised in former Yugoslavia, lived in Sarajevo with her husband until the war in 1992. They came to Canada in 1997 to join their family. 

Jelka was wonderfully devoted to her 2 children Stevan and Ksenija; their spouses Lila and Stanko.

“Lena” was born in the village of Ostrovo (Arnissa) in Macedonia, Greece, the youngest of 8 children to Soultana and Harrissy Liakos (all predeceased). She will also be reunited with her beloved husband of 58 years, Tasho (2018) and infant daughter Arretty (1960).

Helen worked 16 years at Galtex, then at Penman’s until her retirement. Her family and her faith were the cornerstones of her life. Her children Marie, Kali (John) and Nick (Lina) and grandchildren Zach, Josh, Stephanie and Christopher were blessed with Baba’s love, and spoiled with her nurturing personality.

MacIntyre DavidMacINTYRE, David Joseph - David Joseph MacIntyre passed away peacefully at Emmanual House on September 29th, 2019, at the age of 61.

He was a proud father of three.

David had a generous spirit and touched many people by giving to the community by way of volunteering with ‘Out of the Cold’ and Knights of Columbus. He was an avid hockey enthusiast and coach, and went out of his way to help his community.

He was an electrician, for over 40 years through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

SHYMKO, Helen Georgina - Early in the morning on Saturday, September 28, 2019, Georgina Shymko, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away in her sleep at the age of 77.

Georgina was born on January 28, 1942 in Saint John, New Brunswick to Audrey and James Green.

She married Harry Shymko on May 2, 1964, and together raised a family in New Brunswick, Alberta and Ontario that included their two children, Naomi and John, and numerous adopted animals.
