Mastalerz AntoniMASTALERZ, Antoni  - Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, in his 89th year.

Antoni was predeceased by his wife of 60 years Dorothy on July 8th of 2018.

Loving father to Paul (Monica) and Andrew (the late Helen).

Cherished grandfather of Cheryl, Michelle and Evan. Brother to Felix and the late Janine.

Antoni was born in Janorowo, Poland, as a young boy his family were removed from their home and taken by the Russian Army to a labour camp in Shoksha Siberia.

Antoni's sister died in the camp.

His brother and father joined General Anders Army to fight the Germans. It was at this time Antoni and his mother were released from the camp. He traveled to Tehran, Iran.

After a short time, with other Polish refugees, they made the journey to camp Abercorn in Northern Rhodesia, Africa. He lived there before immigrating to England in 1948.

It was in England while working at Perkins Diesel Engines he met and married the love of his life Dorothy. They had two boys while in England. The decision was made to move the family to Canada, they eventually settled in Georgetown. Toni worked as a machinist for McDonnell Douglas for many years.

Thank you to the nurses and support staff who cared for Antoni during his brief stay at the Bennett Centre. Your dedication and compassion is greatly appreciated.

Friends will be received at Jones Funeral Home, Georgetown, on Thursday from 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Georgetown on Friday January 11th, 2019 at 10:00 am.
