METE, Francesca Rose "Frances" - April 5, 1933 - January 13, 2022 Frances passed away peacefully at the Pioneer Elder Care in St. Catharines on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
Predeceased by her beloved parents Giuseppe and Maria, sister Sarafina and brothers Anthony and Nicholas.
Survived by her sister Jenny Beltrame of Niagara Falls and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Welland, Frances lived most of her adult life in Toronto.
She took great pride and pleasure working as a medical secretary, helping may patients and students of the doctors she worked with.
As a member of the Toronto Skating, Cricket and Curling Club, Frances developed many lasting friendships and enjoyed involvement in the various club activities.
She was fortunate to have travelled the world, enjoying many ski trips in her younger days.
As Frances' health deteriorated in the last few years, she moved back to Niagara to be closer to family. It was here Frances found enjoyment, having conversations over coffee and anything chocolate with family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, Welland, on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment. In keeping with current Covid-19 Provincial Restrictions, capacity is limited within the funeral home.
If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association or charity of Choice.
