GATERELL, Sue - (After Hours Hospital Administrator/R.N., Toronto General Hospital)
Peacefully, on Monday, June 27, 2022, at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto.
Sue, in her 58th year, beloved spouse of Pat Lortie for 15 years.
Loved daughter of Carolyn Martin, and father, Michael Gaterell. Loved step-mom of Mike (Elaine) Lortie and Katie (Chris) Trachsler. Dear sister of Mike (June), Kris (Marc), Tracey and Scott (Erin) Gaterell.
Dear aunt of Andrew (Shaina), Ryan (Natalie), Alexia, Jade, Rowan, Isla; and great-aunt to Everly.
Sue was very proud to be a Registered Nurse for 38 years, and will be remembered as a very giving, caring and loving person.
Her love of teaching and mentoring other nurses became a passion during her career; and her contributions to her profession, colleagues and peers and those that she cared for has been immeasurable.
Sue loved all forms of art, and classic rock music especially, and going to watch bands perform live, with Pat.
She will be dearly missed by us all.
Family and friends will be received in the Trafalgar Room at the Jones Funeral Home, Georgetown, on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, from 3-6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Cancer Assisstance Services Halton Hills (C.A.S.H.H) or the Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated.
