FATA, Vincenzina (nee GIAMMATTOLO) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Vincenzina (Cenzie, Gina, Jean and Nonna) Fata, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the age of 91.
She was born in Montalto Uffugo, Cosenza in 1931, and immigrated to Canada in 1950, where she fell in love with and married Adamo Fata.
She was known and loved by many for her generosity, kindness and devotion to the Lord.
Devoted wife to the late Adamo Fata; loving mother to Maria (Don) and Luigi (Megan); beloved Nonna to Adam (Whitney) and Alana. Cherished sister to Mary Manzo (Domenic - predeceased), Nina Bellissimo (Giuseppe), Emily Dionise (Mario), Frank Giammattolo (Ann - predeceased), and Aldo Giammattolo (Corinne).
Predeceased by her sister, Emma Garisto (the late Dominic).
Vincenza will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Glendale Funeral Home, located at 1810 Albion Rd., on Monday, November 7, 2022, from 4 - 7 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Transfiguration of our Lord Church, at 45 Ludstone Dr., Etobicoke, Ontario M9R 2J2 on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to one of the following charities: the Etobicoke Humane Society, the Toronto Animal Shelter, or any Food Bank of your choice, would be greatly appreciated by the Fata family .
