Stewart MarjorieSTEWART, Marjorie "Jean" (nee HULET)   -  Marjorie "Jean" Stewart passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022, at 89 years in Burlington, ON.

She was born Marjorie Jean Hulet, and grew up in Norwich Township.

She met Ian Stewart in London, Ontario, and they were married in October 1956.

They were happily married for 47 years before Ian passed in 2004.

She is survived by her son, Ron Stewart (Wendy) of Oakville, Ontario; and daughter, Lori Nethercut (David) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. "Nana" was loved by her grandchildren, Adam Stewart (Samantha), Sara Stewart (Sebastian), Sean Stewart and Riley Nethercut (Kyle).

Jean and Ian raised Ron and Lori in Agincourt, Ontario.

Jean was a longtime employee at Sears Canada. She was very community minded, contributing to the Home and School Association, and active in Brownies when her daughter was a member.

She was a beautiful seamstress and knitter. Jean and Ian moved to Burlington in 1996.

Jean took great joy in being "Nana" for her four grandchildren. She really enjoyed knitting with the Knox Knitters.

We thank the staff at The Village of Tansley Woods for their kindness in helping care for her.

A service will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, 485 Brant St., Burlington, Ontario, on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., followed by an informal reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
