Sullivan KerrySULLIVAN, Kerry James   -

December 30, 1935 – June 1, 2023

Kerry passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the age of 87.

Loving husband of Jeanne (née Drouin) for 64 years; beloved father of Larry (Kathy), Brad (Joy) and Susan (Pierre); proud grandfather, better known as "Papere," of Noah (Susan), Ashley (Jessey), Mike (Jenny), Whitney (Christian), Cassie (Graeme), David (Heidi), Jeff and Matt; and proud great-grandfather (Papere) of Owen, Liam, Chase, Jude, Gabriella, Sebastian, Ashlyn and Alyssa.

Brother of Bill (Bonnie), Jim (Mary Lou) and the late Mary (Gene).

Son of the late Joe Sullivan and Grace (née Hopkins).

Kerry will be remembered by his many friends and relatives. Kerry lived in Newmarket, Ontario, since 1965, and worked for Ontario Hydro for 35 years.

He enjoyed a long retirement, which gave him the opportunity to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren, which was his biggest passion in life. Together, with his wife, Jeanne, they raised a family with love and respect. Through their relationship and especially in the last few years, they would lean on each other's strengths.

Kerry would do anything at the drop of a hat for his children and grandchildren.

He loved to give the grandkids nicknames, which they all cherish. Special thanks to the caring staff at Southlake, especially the palliative care team.

Friends may call at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish Church, 17955 Leslie St., Newmarket, on June 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., followed by an interment.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
