Fuller TyrellFULLER, Tyrell Waybrant - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Tyrell Waybrant Fuller, of Toronto, Ontario, on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the age of 28.

He is survived by his parents Albert and Linda, his three siblings Jemal, Mona and Elisha, and leaves behind his adored niece Kesha and beloved son Tyson.

He also leaves behind many dear cousins, Aunts, and Uncles.

Buchanan Dr MichaelBUCHANAN, Dr. Michael Robert   -   It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Dr. Michael Robert Buchanan on January 3, 2022.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Stephanie, his children Koa and Moss, his grandchildren Cole and Mila, his brother John, sister-in-law Marion and his cousin Sharon, as well as many friends and extended family.

Michael led a full life. He obtained a BA from University of Toronto followed by a PhD from McMaster University.

Following a year of postdoctoral work at Harvard, Michael took an academic position at McMaster. He was a highly successful researcher in his field of Pathology and Molecular Medicine.

During his career, he made three unique discoveries and achieved the rank of Full Professor.

Wroblewski StanislawWROBLEWSKI, Stanislaw   -  November 9, 1939 - January 1, 2022

Beloved husband of Barbara for 54 years.

Loving father of Eva (Michael) and Aleksandra (Paul), and the late Robert Wroblewski (2016).

Proud grandfather of Elizabeth, Carter and Thomas.

Stanislaw devoted his career as a Horticulturalist at the City of Toronto to beautifying landscapes for everyone to enjoy.

His loss will be felt tremendously across the world, especially in Poland where his life's journey began and to North America were his journey ended.

Malta MariaMALTA, Maria   - November 1, 1935 - January 3, 2022

After a year long battle with mesothelioma, our dear mother and nonna, Maria Malta (nee Castano), has been reunited with the love of her life, our late father and nonno, Vito Giuseppe (Joe) Malta.

She will be sadly missed by her sons, Greg (Anne) and Frank (Kathy), and daughter, Connie Malta-Vit (Dennis), her grandchildren, Dr. Mikaela Malta (Daniel Berniker), Brady, Daniel (Katryna), Alycia (George), in London, England, Jessica (Brandon), Christian Vit (Carina), Julia Vit, her great-grandsons, Miles and Samuel Berniker, her sisters, Nina Pirruccio and Rose Luciani (Gabriele), in Toronto, her sister, Giuseppina Iemmello and her brother, Joe Castano (Marietta) and sister-in-law, Pina Macrina (Peppino) in Calabria, Italy, and her many nieces and nephews here in Toronto, in Italy and the United States.

Skeels HubertSKEELS, Hubert (Hugh) Arthur William  - July 31, 1926 – January 3, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family announce the peaceful passing of Hugh at 95 years old – a much loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Born in Chatteris, England, Hugh was the son of Arthur William and Elizabeth Skeels (née Starkey), brother to Rene (Wilf) and Tom (Marj) (all deceased).

World War II Veteran with the 3rd Kings Own Hussars - British Army.

Immigrated to Canada in 1947 and met his future wife, Joan (née Barrett).

He was a longtime employee of Dufferin Construction until retirement.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother who was loved and known by so many, will be missed by everyone.

Kowatsch JohnKOWATSCH, John Henry Kowatsch   - It is with sadness that we share the passing of John (Hans) Kowatsch, at 90 years of age, in Toronto, Ontario.

John is predeceased by his first wife, Dorothea (Brown) in 1996 and second wife, Raquel (Garcia) in 2012.

He is survived and mourned by his two families: Children Kathryn (Partner - Gordon, Granddaughter- Erin) and Dean (Wife - Kim, Grandchildren - Brianna & Riley), as well as his Step-Children Walter, Silvana (Husband – Jim, Opa to Lauren, Luke & Ryan) and Valeria (Husband - Carmelo, Opa to Raquel & Joseph).

The eldest of four children, John was born to parents Theresa and Johann Kowatsch in Germany.

GREEN, Ruth   - Passed away peacefully after a brief illness, at Sunnybrook Hospital, on January 2, 2022.

Predeceased by John, her beloved husband of 53 years.

Loving mother to Karen Davison (Cecil), Joanne Seal (David) and Susan Green (Matthew).

LIDDELL, Donald Elmo   - It is with heavy hearts the family of Donald announce his passing, on Sunday, January 2, 2022, in his 83rd year, after a brief illness.

Donald was predeceased by his beloved wife Elaine (nee Banyard), his parents Elmo and Edna (nee Mesley), his brother John David "Buddy" Liddell, and his grandson Dean.

Hunter DoreenHUNTER, Doreen Audrey  - Born on April 21, 1929 in Toronto, passed away on January 2, 2022 at Michael Garron Hospital in her 93rd year.

She is survived by her children Janet (Dominic), Lynn (Eric) and Kathryn (Nikki).

Also her grandchildren the late Michael (Meni), Lisa (Matt), Jenny (Rob), Mark, Ian and Matthew.

A great-grandmother to Aden, Michael, Rain and River. She will be rejoining her husband John Hunter.

Les was known as Mr. Fix It and would always drop what he was doing to help a friend or neighbour in need.

MacDONALD, Emily   -  It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Emily MacDonald on January 2, 2022 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, she was a warrior and fighter till the end.

Though her time with us was cut far to short Emily touched many lives and was deeply loved by those around her.

Longtime Toronto resident John H. Towse age 97 died on January 2, 2022 at North York General Hospital. 

Mr. Towse was born July 7, 1924 to John Thomas and Margaret May Towse.

BALDRY, John    -  October 31, 1927 - January 2, 2022

John was born and raised in Warrington, England and was the youngest of 4.

He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Helen in 2006 and his companion Gerlinde in 2019.

PALLADINI, Romana  -  With her family by her side, Romana passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 in Woodbridge at the age 78.

Predeceased by her husband Alberto.

Beloved and cherished mother of Franco and Lucia (Domenic).

MAZUR, Sister Mary Andrea (Helen) Mazur  -  96, peacefully went home to her God on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at the Westbury Long Term Care Centre in Etobicoke.

Sister Mary Andrea was one of the first Canadians who entered the Felician Sisters Community.

During her 79 years of religious life, she served in various apostolates as an elementary school teacher and principal, high school teacher and vice principal.

MONK, Ron   - It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the passing of Ron Monk on January 1, 2022.

He is survived by his loving wife Bridie, his sister Marg and her loving family.

He was a great stepfather to Terry (Margaret), Michele (Anthony), Kevin (Maria), Neil (Louise) and Peter.

Giffen Dr AlanGIFFEN, Dr. Alan Bruce   -  November 4, 1930 - January 1, 2022

It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss our family announces the peaceful but sudden passing, at home, of Dr. Alan Bruce Giffen, on January 1, 2022, at the age of 91.

Son of Daisy and Jim Giffen, and lovingly adored by sister, Ruth Watt and her husband, Jay Watt (all predeceased).

Predeceased by his former spouse, Dawne (2000).

Loving father of Tara (Ross), Andrea, Merrill and Dana (predeceased).

Gittings JoyceGITTINGS, Joyce Wilma (nee KETTLEHUT)  -  Passed away peacefully in her sleep, in Mississauga, on January 1, 2022.

Loving wife of Edward H. (Ted) Gittings, in their 70th year of marriage. Predeceased by her dear son Greg (2013) and brothers Robert (2015) and Allan (1993).

Survived by her husband Ted, her children Linda (Mel Parrott 2021) of Prescott, Janice (Phil Lewin) of Glen Williams, David (Susan) of Oakville, Sandra (Bob Keane) of Mississauga, sister-in-law Judy Gittings of St. Catharines and best friend and sister Ilene Clayton of Alliston.

Joyce embraced eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Grandma Joyce will always hold a special and dear spot in their hearts.

Tapper GertrudeTAPPER, Gertrude Irene (nee JONES)  -  A long life was well lived by Gertrude Irene Tapper (nee Jones) of Scarborough, Ontario.

She passed away peacefully on January 1, 2022, at Woodhaven Long Term Care in Markham.

She was 93 years old.

Gertrude was predeceased by her parents William and Bertha Jones, and her husband of 68 ½ years, Albert Edgar Tapper. Gertrude is survived by her three daughters: Marianne Rose, Margaret (George) Williams and Marilynne (Andrew) Gordon.

Her legacy also includes seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Many thanks are extended to the staff and friends at Adelaide Place in Lindsay. Gert and Ab lived there for almost four years.

ONeil GaryO'NEIL, Gary Wilson   -  It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Gary Wilson O'Neil on January 1, 2022 at his home in Toronto.

Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Doherty) for 48 years.

Devoted brother to Judy and predeceased by his mother Velma Neitz, father Joseph O'Neil and stepfather Fred Neitz.

Born in the Gaspe, Quebec in 1944, graduate of Malvern Collegiate, Gary worked for the City of Toronto Works Department for 35 years.

Gary will be missed by all, including Sharon's cousins, Betty, Janice and Maureen.
