RAWLUK, Roy - Roy Rawluk passed away surrounded by his loved ones, on the morning of July 16, 2020, after his courageous 10-month battle with cancer.
Beloved husband to Joan, hero to his children Kimberly, Kevin and Krista, and partner-in-crime with his brother Bob, Roy was dedicated to his family and leaves behind a proud legacy of over 45 years of public service as a police officer.
He will be remembered for his fighting-spirit, unfailing kindness and endless generosity.
But he will also be remembered for his inquisitive nature, sometimes questionable navigation skills and his relentless pursuit of the perfect dessert.

RANGASAWMY, Cecil - Cecil passed away peacefully on July 15, 2020 at Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital at the age of 89 with his family by his side.
He was born in Georgetown, Guyana to parents Samuel Rangasawmy & Rose Khan. He worked as a salesman for most of his working years and loved singing Nat Cole songs, in the church choir and horse racing, which was most definitely his passion.
Cecil is survived by his children Andre, Deborah, Marcia and Eon. Brother to Fred, Terrance, Angie, Vernon and Zali. Grandfather to Lisa, Paul, Andrew, Mark & Jessica. Great grandfather to Amara, Aminah, Charley and Jaxon.

BAR-EL, Avihu - Avihu Bar-el died peacefully at North York General Hospital on July 15, 2020. He lived to celebrate his 90th birthday.
Born in Tel Aviv, Avihu lived in Haifa and then was a member of Kvutzat Geva until he moved to Winnipeg, Canada in 1955 in order to marry Shirley.
His two sons were born in Edmonton where Avihu was a teacher at Edmonton Talmud Torah. Their daughter was born in London, Ontario where Avihu taught at Or Shalom Synagogue and London Talmud Torah.

KALNINS, Paulis Leonids - Paulis Leonids Kalnins died peacefully at his home on July 15, 2020. He was in his 94th year.
Paulis was born in Jēkabpils, Latvia on October 20th, 1926. His father died when he was only 2 years old. In 1944 he and his family were displaced from Latvia to Germany. While in Latvia he joined the Latvian Legion to fight for Germany.
In 1950 Paulis immigrated from Germany to Canada. His mother and one sister also immigrated to Canada. His second sister immigrated to the United States. Once in Canada he spent one year working on a farm. He also worked as a carpenter, and spent time working for the Toronto Transit Commission constructing tunnels.

MACAPAGAL, Francisco Sarmiento - With great sadness, we announce the passing of our father, Francisco Sarmiento Macapagal.
Our dad was fighting his battle with lung cancer since January of 2019. On July 15, 2020 shortly after midnight, he breathed his last breath.
We are relieved he passed peacefully and is no longer in pain. He was surrounded by his wife Olivia (Reyes), his sons, Stephen, Francis and Oliver, and his daughter and her family, Alexandra, Jon-Michael, Kaelyn Renae and Isaiah Francisco.
