Farguson RogerFARGUSON, Roger Alan  -  At age 75, of Richmond Hill, passed away peacefully at Hill House Hospice on Tuesday August 28, 2018 after a four year, hard fought battle with cancer.

Roger was born April 19, 1943 to Ernest and Ida Farguson in Surrey, England, the eldest of three children.

After immigrating to Canada in 1964, Roger worked in sales for General Publishing, then moved on to success as the President of Antioch Canada.

Throughout his career in publishing and after, he continued to run a prosperous Amway business.

Music, friends and family were his passions, as well as playing tennis, bridge, and watching baseball in his later years.

His goal was to cure his cancer, and with research and fortitude, he was able to extend his years farther than ever expected.

Roger is survived by his loving children, Lori Gardiner of Keswick and Ian Farguson of Pefferlaw.  He was a cherished Poppy to grandchildren Brayden and Claire Gardiner. He will be missed by brothers John of Surrey, B.C. and Geoffrey of Surrey, England; nephew and nieces Jennifer Farguson, Tina (James) Berg and Geoffrey Farguson (Jean Stroble) as well as many cherished new and longstanding friends.

Visitation will occur at Marshall funeral home, Richmond Hill, beginning at 6:00pm on Thursday, September 6, 2018.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00pm, with a reception to follow.

Direct donations to Hill House Hospice, 36 Wright Street, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 4A1 would be gratefully accepted in Roger's memory. Special heartfelt thanks to the Hill House staff for their amazing care during dad's final week.
